Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly happening.
